I got a Rewarble card to help my girlfriend pay her bills. The initial internet payment seemed to go through. But when I tried to pay her energy and water bills, every single payment was declined. While this was happening, the card status in the app kept flickering erratically between “paused” and “active.”
I emailed Rewarble support about the problem and was ignored. I then reached out on Twitter. They followed me so I could DM them my email address, which I provided. However, that was the end of the progress. I have still not received a response via email, and most importantly, my account is still suspended and my $400 is still seized.
This is a classic support runaround: creating the illusion of assistance without providing any actual resolution.
A specific warning for my fellow crypto enthusiasts, especially those in Monero: If you’re looking for a reliable off-ramp, stay far away from this company. Even if you play by their rules—turning off your VPN and providing all the KYC they ask for—it’s apparently not enough. They can still freeze your funds without explanation or reliable support.
PSA: I will take this post down only when my account is unsuspended, my full access to funds is restored, and I can finally pay the bills I intended to.
